“Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan”

I was fascinated with the old popular saying “Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan” which translated in English as “Our young children are our country’s only hope.” (Sigh…..) That saying is no good nowadays unlike before while corruption was less rampant compare today and our leaders was not enslaved with corruption before. How can we say today that the young one’s is our country’s hope?? When as young as their age now they are abomination to our society, doing immoral and unlawful things that are not acceptable to the society as a whole. It’s shameful to see that at their young age now they've learned and do unlawful things in order to live like stealing, snatching, gambling, taking prohibited drugs and even murder. The number of minors now detained in correctional (DSWD) because of the unlawful crimes they’ve committed rises every year. Lots of children are forced to work instead of playing in order to earn money to help their parents support for their daily basic needs. Some ends up on prostitution, child pornography, and sex slave. Who are we to judge them if they become criminals, prostitutes, drug pushers and drug users someday? Who is to blame? We don’t have the right to misjudge them on what they’ve become. Yes, we do have choices no doubt about it but we don’t know what they’ve been through. As I’ve said we cannot blame them entirely for what they become. Now the question is “who is to blame?!”Only one thing stuck on my mind is no other than the no good “Government and its corrupt leaders who are greedy for wealth and power.” Who are much responsible for all these madness that ruins the future of our young children now and generations to come? While these ruthless bastards are still in position in the government and if we allow them to poison our thoughts with their promising speeches and propaganda’s during elections in order for us to vote for them then the future of the new generation and the generations to come is as dark as coal. Is there any hope for a better tomorrow for us and for our young children now and for the generations to come???
